1) Giòsa Milano – Bags, backpacks and accessories in crocodile
Just accessories in natural crocodile leather – from bags and shoulder bags, backpacks, beauty cases and business bags, but also trainers, belts, smartphone covers and coin purses – in this historic boutique at 6 Via Ciovasso, just steps from the splendid Chiesa di Santa Maria del Carmine. Its roots in Brera date back to the 1950s, where the Santamaria family opened a small leather working laboratory which has evolved into the current concept (where products can also be purchased online from the site, in the e-shop section). For true “crocodile cult” lovers!
2) Bianca D’Aniello – Jewellery and accessories
A small atelier with grand emotional impact is that of Bianca D’Aniello, at 7 Via Formentini, in the heart of the Brera Design District: with her somewhat gypsy and new romantic style, Bianca creates original and expressive jewellery to enhance every look. Bracelets, necklaces, earrings, chokers and a special line of shawls in wool and luxury fibres created by hand and in limited editions, also available for purchase on the dedicated e-commerce website.
3) La Hormiga – Jewellery
In the heart of old Brera sits a salon imbued with colour – La Hormiga. Born from the creative touch of two Argentinian sisters, designers Laura and Silvia Kretschel offer rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings and pins inspired by patterns from the plant world – like those of the “A Century Later” collection – or from the oceanic exotics of the “Titi in Hawai’i” line, which brighten the faces and hands of those who wear them. Shipping throughout the world and a “special price” section on its website.
4) Felisi Milano – Bags, backpacks and accessories
In one of the most representative streets of Brera, at 5 Via Fiori Chiari 5, is the first Milanese flagship store of this historic Made in Italy brand that unites luxury leathers with materials like canvas or nylon for creations with an exclusive taste. Their offerings range from small leather goods – pochettes, keychains, wallets – to men’s and women’s must-haves like shoulder bags or hand bags and smart lines for work or free time, from backpacks to waist packs. Clients can view (and purchase) the entire catalogue in the virtual boutique of the website.
5) L’artigiano di Brera – Footwear
Those in search of quality-made shoes must not miss this store with its vintage charm and very eloquent name, where everything is created with artisanal craftsmanship, marrying tradition and innovation. The shoe models – exclusively for women – range from ballerinas to pumps, from moccasins to sandals, and from boots to ankle boots. And shoes are also made to measure in the store at 2 Via Solferino.
