5 places to take unique autumn photos in Milan

Autumn always offers spectacular scenery: warm colors, falling leaves and unique atmospheres that deserve to be immortalized. If you are in Milan and want to take suggestive photographs, here are five perfect places to visit this season.

  1. Monte Sella – 📍 Entrances Via Terzaghi / Via Cimabue / Via Isernia

For the Milanese it is simply the “Montagnetta”. It is an artificial hill created from the rubble of the Second World War and once known as “the tomb of the houses of the Milanese”. Today its summit is one of the most fascinating panoramic points of the city and, in autumn, a special photographic setting.

  1. Resistance Park – 📍 Via Tabacchi

A small green lung within walking distance of Bocconi University, attended by students, families and sportspeople. In addition to the play areas and basketball courts, in autumn it offers suggestive views with trees tinged with red and yellow. Ideal for creative and original photos.

  1. Sempione Park – 📍 Piazza Sempione

It is the symbolic park of Milan, with its 386,000 m² of paths, waterways and views reminiscent of English gardens. Made at the end of the 19th century, in autumn it is perfect for a photographic walk through nature, architecture and historical views.

  1. Church of San Celso – 📍 Corso Italia 37

Built in the 4th century, this Romanesque church is one of Milan’s hidden jewels. It is always worth a visit, but in autumn the entrance turns into a spectacle: the colorful leaves frame the facade creating a suggestive atmosphere.

  1. Indro Montanelli Public Gardens – 📍 Via Palestro 14

They date back to the eighteenth century and today house the Civic Museum of Natural History, the Planetarium and Palazzo Dugnani. These gardens are much loved by the Milanese, with their centuries-old trees, lakes and golden reflections. Relaxing walk and romantic shots guaranteed.

Whether you are a passionate photographer or simply looking for a walk through the autumn colours, be inspired by the nuances of the season and take home your best shots!
